What is AIS?
This document contains a variety of information and data about taxpayers, including their income, financial transactions, income tax procedures and tax returns. A government maintains a variety of information through AIS, including reported prices and revised prices.
In 2021, the Tax and Customs Administration will introduce a new tax system. The overview contains information about interest, dividends, securities transactions, mutual fund transactions and foreign remittances.

will work like this
To download the AIS app, taxpayers must first visit the Google Play Store or App Store. From there a new app called ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ needs to be installed. To register on the app, taxpayers must enter their PAN number after installing the app.
Taxpayers must verify the OTP sent to their registered mobile phone number to complete the e-filing process. After verification, a 4-digit PIN must be generated to access the app and view AIS details.
